In November (1) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCADEFFEDThe leafless forests slowly yield | A |
To the thick driving snow A little while | B |
And night shall darken down In shouting file | B |
The woodmen's carts go by me homeward wheeled | A |
Past the thin fading stubbles half concealed | A |
Now golden gray sowed softly through with snow | C |
Where the last ploughman follows still his row | C |
Turning black furrows through the whitening field | A |
Far off the village lamps begin to gleam | D |
Fast drives the snow and no man comes this way | E |
The hills grow wintry white and bleak winds moan | F |
About the naked uplands I alone | F |
Am neither sad nor shelterless nor gray | E |
Wrapped round with thought content to watch and dream | D |
