To morrow I may grieve again | B |
But now along the windy plain | C |
The clouds have taken flight | A |

The sowers in the furrows go | D |
The lusty river brimmeth on | E |
The curtains from the hills are gone | F |
The leaves are out and lo | D |

The silvery distance of the day | A |
The light horizons and between | G |
The glory of the perfect green | G |
The tumult of the May | A |
- | |
The bobolinks at noonday sing | H |
More softly than the softest flute | A |
And lightlier than the lightest lute | A |
Their fairy tambours ring | H |
- | |
The roads far off are towered with dust | A |
The cherry blooms are swept and thinned | A |
In yonder swaying elms the wind | A |
Is charging gust on gust | A |

But here there is no stir at all | I |
The ministers of sun and shadow | D |
Horde all the perfumes of the meadow | D |
Behind a grassy wall | I |
- | |
An infant rivulet wind free | J |
Adown the guarded hollow sets | K |
Over whose brink the violets | L |
Are nodding peacefully | J |
- | |
From pool to pool it prattles by | M |
The flashing swallows dip and pass | N |
Above the tufted marish grass | N |
And here at rest am I | M |

I care not for the old distress | O |
Nor if to morrow bid me moan | P |
To day is mine and I have known | P |
An hour of blessedness | Q |
