Amor Vitë Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGI JKJK LMLM NONO

I love the warm bare earth and allA
That works and dreams thereonB
I love the seasons yet to fallA
I love the ages goneB
-
The valleys with the sheeted grainC
The river's smiling mightD
The merry wind the rustling rainC
The vastness of the nightD
-
I love the morning's flame the steepE
Where down the vapour clingsF
I love the clouds that float and sleepE
And every bird that singsF
-
I love the purple shower that poursG
On far off fields at evenH
I love the pine wood dusk whose floorsG
Are like the courts of heavenI
-
I love the heaven's azure spanJ
The grass beneath my feetK
I love the face of every manJ
Whose thought is swift and sweetK
-
I let the wrangling world go byL
And like an idle breathM
Its echoes and its phantoms flyL
I care no jot for deathM
-
Time like a Titan bright and strongN
Spreads one enchanted gleamO
Each hour is but a fluted songN
And life a lofty dreamO
