A single sheet, so plain, so white, Becomes a bird, takes sudden flight.
With gentle folds and steady hands, A tiny craft from schoolyard lands.
The corners meet, the edges press,
A secret art of paper's dress.
No metal wings, no roaring sound, Just quiet hope that lifts it round.
You launch it forth, it cuts the air, A whispered dream is riding there.
It twists, it twirls, it dips with grace, A daring smile across your face.
Across the room, across the sky, It teaches hearts how dreams can fly.
Though gravity may call it down, It wears the air just like a crown.
For in that flight, so brief, so small, A folded wish has touched us all.
A paper plane, with journey true, Carries the sky inside of you.
