It Out-herods Herod. Pray You, Avoid It. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEG HIHI JKLK KMKN OPOP QRQR SPTP

Tonight my children hunchA
Toward their Western and are gladB
As with a Sunday punchA
The Good casts out the BadB
-
-
And in their fairy talesC
The warty giant and witchD
Get sealed in doorless jailsC
And the match girl strikes it richD
-
-
I ve made myself a drinkE
The giant and witch are setF
To bust out of the clinkE
When my children have gone to bedG
-
-
All frequencies are loudH
With signals of despairI
In flash and morse they crowdH
The rondure of the airI
-
-
For the wicked have grown strongJ
Their numbers mock at deathK
Their cow brings forth its youngL
Their bull engenderethK
-
-
Their very fund of strengthK
Satan bestrides the globeM
He stalks its breadth and lengthK
And finds out even JobN
-
-
Yet by quite other lawsO
My children make their caseP
Half God half Santa ClausO
But with my voice and faceP
-
-
A hero comes to saveQ
The poorman beggarman thiefR
And make the world behaveQ
And put an end to griefR
-
-
And that their sleep be soundS
I say this childermasP
Who could not at one timeT
Have saved them from the gasP
