The Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFG HIJIKLML NFOFPQRQ PSTSUJVJ PWPWXYZY PA2B2A2C2EQE

A pair of very chubby legsA
Encased in scarlet hoseB
A pair of little stubby bootsC
With rather doubtful toesB
A little kilt a little coatD
Cut as a mother canE
And lo before us strides in stateF
The Future's 'coming man 'G
-
His eyes perchance will read the starsH
And search their unknown waysI
Perchance the human heart and soulJ
Will open to their gazeI
Perchance their keen and flashing glanceK
Will be a nation's lightL
Those eyes that now are wistful bentM
On some 'big fellow's' kiteL
-
That brow where mighty thought will dwellN
In solemn secret stateF
Where fierce ambition's restless strengthO
Shall war wih future fateF
Where science from now hidden cavesP
New treasures shall outpourQ
'Tis knit now with a troubled doubtR
Are two or three cents moreQ
-
Those lips that in the coming yaarsP
Will plead or pray or teachS
Whose whispered words on lightning flashT
From world to world may reachS
That sternly grave may speak commandU
Or smiling win controlJ
Are coaxing now for gingerbreadV
With all a baby's soulJ
-
Those hands those little busy handsP
So sticky small and brownW
Those hands whose only mission seemsP
To pull all order downW
Who knows what hidden strength may lieX
Within their future graspY
Though now 'tis but a taffy stickZ
In sturdy hold they claspY
-
Ah blessings on those little handsP
Whose work is yet undoneA2
And blessings on those little feetB2
Whose race is yet un runA2
And blessings on the little brainC2
That has not learned to planE
Whate'er the Future hold in storeQ
God bless the 'coming man'E
