Are sleeping now in quiet restC

They are sleeping with the deadE

No more will Shiloh's plains be stainedG
With blood our heroes shedE
Nor Chancellorsville resound againF
To our noble warriors' treadE

For them no more shall reveilleH
Sound at the break of dawnI
But may their sleep peaceful beJ
Till God's great judgment mornK

We bow our heads in solemn prayerL
For those who wore the grayM
And clasp again their unseen handsN
