The Equipage Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEEFFGGHHIIJJFF

Since the Road of Life's so illA
I to pass it use this SkillA
My frail Carriage driving homeB
To its latest Stage the TombC
Justice first in Harness strongD
Marches stedfastly alongD
Charity to smooth the PaceE
Fills the next adjoining TraceE
Independance leads the WayF
Whom no heavy Curb do's swayF
Truth an equal Part sustainsG
All indulg'd the loosen'd ReinsG
In the Box fits vig'rous HealthH
Shunning miry Paths of WealthH
Gaiety with easy SmilesI
Ev'ry harsher Step beguilesI
Whilst of Nature or of FateJ
Only This I wou'd intreatJ
The Equipage might not decayF
Till the worn Carriage drops awayF
