Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GEHE FIJI KDLD MNEN OPQP A

How brightly glistening in the sunA
The woodland ivy playsB
While yonder beeches from their barksC
Reflect his silver raysB
That sun surveys a lovely sceneD
From softly smiling skiesE
And wildly through unnumbered treesF
The wind of winter sighsE
-
Now loud it thunders o'er my headG
And now in distance diesE
But give me back my barren hillsH
Where colder breezes riseE
-
Where scarce the scattered stunted treesF
Can yield an answering swellI
But where a wilderness of heathJ
Returns the sound as wellI
-
For yonder garden fair and wideK
With groves of evergreenD
Long winding walks and borders trimL
And velvet lawns betweenD
-
Restore to me that little spotM
With grey walls compassed roundN
Where knotted grass neglected liesE
And weeds usurp the groundN
-
Though all around this mansion highO
Invites the foot to roamP
And though its halls are fair withinQ
Oh give me back my HOMEP
-
