O, This Is Blessing, This Is Rest Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

O this is blessing this is restA
Unto Thine arms O Lord I fleeB
I hide me in Thy faithful breastA
And pour out all my soul to TheeB
There is a host dissuading meB
But all their voices far aboveC
I hear Thy words O taste and seeB
The comfort of a Savior's loveC
And hushing every adverse soundD
Songs of defence my soul surroundD
As if all saints encamped aboutE
One trusting heart pursued by doubtE
-
And O how solemn yet how sweetF
Their one assured persuasive strainG
The Lord of hosts is thy retreatF
The Man who bore thy sin thy painG
Still in His hand thy times remainG
Still of his body thou art partH
And He will prove his right to reigI
O'er all things that concern thy heartH
O tenderness O truth divineJ
Lord I am altogether thineJ
I have bowed down I need not fleeB
Peace peace is mine in trusting TheeB
-
And now I count supremely kindK
The rule that once I thought severeL
And precious to my altered mindK
At length Thy least reproofs appearL
Now to the love that casts out fearL
Mercy and truth indeed seem oneM
Why should I hold my ease so dearL
The work of training must be doneM
I must be taught what I would knowN
I must be led where I would goN
And all the rest ordained for meB
Till that which is not seen I seeB
Is to be found in trusting TheeB
