I will give thanks and sing	B
My heart is at the secret source	C
Of every precious thing	B
Now the frail vessel Thou hast made	D
No hand but Thine shall fill	E
For the waters of the Earth have failed	F
And I am thirsty still	E

I thirst for springs of heavenly life	G
And here all day they rise	H
I seek the treasure of Thy love	I
And close at hand it lies	H
And a new song is in my mouth	J
To long loved music set	K
Glory to Thee for all the grace	L
I have not tasted yet	K

Glory to Thee for strength withheld	M
For want and weakness known	N
And the fear that sends me to Thy breast	O
For what is most my own	N
I have a heritage of joy	P
That yet I must not see	Q
But the hand that bled to make it mine	R
Is keeping it for me	Q

There is a certainty of love	I
That sets my heart at rest	O
A calm assurance for today	S
That to be poor is best	O
A prayer reposing on His truth	T
Who hath made all things mine	R
That draws my captive will to Him	U
And makes it one with Thine	R

I will give thanks for suffering now	V
For want and toil and loss	W
For the death that sin makes hard and slow	X
Upon my Savior s cross	W
Thanks for the little spring of love	I
That gives me strength to say	S
If they will leave me part in Him	U
Let all things pass away	S

Sometimes I long for promised bliss	Y
But it will not come too late	Z
And the songs of patient spirits rise	H
From the place wherein I wait	Z
While in the faith that makes no haste	A2
My soul has time to see	Q
A kneeling host of Thy redeemed	B2
In fellowship with me	Q

There is a multitude around	C2
Responsive to my prayer	D2
I hear the voice of my desire	E2
Resounding everywhere	D2
But the earnest of eternal joy	P
In every prayer I trace	L
I see the glory of the Lord	F2
On every chastened face	L

How oft in still communion known	N
Those spirits have been sent	G2

And I long to do some work of love	I
