White Currants Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAACDAAEAAAFGE

Shall I give you white currantsA
I do not know why but I have a sudden fancy for this fruitB
At the moment the idea of them cherishes my sensesA
And they seem more desirable than flawless emeraldsA
Since I am in fact empty handedC
I might have chosen gems out of IndiaD
But I choose white currantsA
Is it because the raucous wind is hurtling round the house cornersA
I see it with curled lips and stripped fangs gaunt and haunting energyE
Come to snout and nibble and kill the little crocus rootsA
Shall we call it white currantsA
You may consider it as a symbol if you pelaseA
You may find them tart or sweet or merely agreeable in colourF
So long as you accept themG
And meE
