To A Friend Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCDBBEFGFGGG

I ask but one thing of you only oneA
That always you will be my dream of youB
That never shall I wake to find untrueB
All this I have believed and rested onC
Forever vanished like a vision goneD
Out into the night Alas how fewB
There are who strike in us a chord we knewB
Existed but so seldom heard its toneE
We tremble at the half forgotten soundF
The world is full of rude awakeningsG
And heaven born castles shattered to the groundF
Yet still our human longing vainly clingsG
To a belief in beauty through all wrongsG
O stay your hand and leave my heart its songsG
