The Trout Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF GGAA

Naughty little speckled troutA
Can't I coax you to come outA
Is it such great fun to playB
In the water every dayB
-
Do you pull the Naiads' hairC
Hiding in the lilies thereC
Do you hunt for fishes' eggsD
Or watch tadpoles grow their legsD
-
Do the little trouts have schoolE
In some deep sun glinted poolE
And in recess play at tagF
Round that bed of purple flagF
-
I have tried so hard to catch youG
Hours and hours I've sat to watch youG
But you never will come outA
Naughty little speckled troutA
