| And tinkles on the broad sides of grass blades | B |
| A tree at the end of my arm is hazy with mist | C |
| Even so I can see that it has red berries | D |
| A scarlet fruit | E |
| Filmed over with moisture | F |
| It seems as though the rain | G |
| Dripping from it | H |
| Should be tinged with colour | F |
| I desire the berries | D |
| But in the mist I only scratch my hand on the thorns | I |
| Probably too they are bitter | F |
