The Taxi Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJAK

When I go away from youA
The world beats deadB
Like a slackened drumC
I call out for you against the jutted starsD
And shout into the ridges of the windE
Streets coming fastF
One after the otherG
Wedge you away from meH
And the lamps of the city prick my eyesI
So that I can no longer see your faceJ
Why should I leave youA
To wound myself upon the sharp edges of the nightK
