The Starling Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CDDCCDDCEFGEFG

'I can't get out' said the starlingA
Sterne's 'Sentimental Journey'B
-
-
Forever the impenetrable wallC
Of self confines my poor rebellious soulD
I never see the towering white clouds rollD
Before a sturdy wind save through the smallC
Barred window of my jail I live a thrallC
With all my outer life a clipped square holeD
Rectangular a fraction of a scrollD
Unwound and winding like a worsted ballC
My thoughts are grown uneager and depressedE
Through being always mine my fancy's wingsF
Are moulted and the feathers blown awayG
I weary for desires never guessedE
For alien passions strange imaginingsF
To be some other person for a dayG
