Storm-racked Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDEEHow should I sing when buffeting salt waves | A |
And stung with bitter surges in whose might | B |
I toss a cockleshell The dreadful night | B |
Marshals its undefeated dark and raves | A |
In brutal madness reeling over graves | A |
Of vanquished men long sunken out of sight | B |
Sent wailing down to glut the ghoulish sprite | B |
Who haunts foul seaweed forests and their caves | A |
No parting cloud reveals a watery star | C |
My cries are washed away upon the wind | D |
My cramped and blistering hands can find no spar | C |
My eyes with hope o'erstrained are growing blind | D |
But painted on the sky great visions burn | E |
My voice oblation from a shattered urn | E |
