| And scented with happiest memories | G |
| O Winding roads that I know so well | H |
| Every twist and turn every hollow and hill | I |
| They are set in my heart to a pulsing tune | J |
| Gay as a honey bee humming in June | J |
| 'T is the rhythmic beat of a horse's feet | K |
| And the pattering paws of a sheep dog bitch | L |
| 'T is the creaking trees and the singing breeze | G |
| And the rustle of leaves in the road side ditch | L |
| - | |
| A cow in a meadow shakes her bell | H |
| And the notes cut sharp through the autumn air | M |
| Each chattering brook bears a fleet of leaves | N |
| Their cargo the rainbow and just now where | M |
| The sun splashed bright on the road ahead | O |
| A startled rabbit quivered and fled | O |
| O Uphill roads and roads that dip down | P |
| You curl your sun spattered length along | Q |
| And your march is beaten into a song | Q |
| By the softly ringing hoofs of a horse | R |
| And the panting breath of the dogs I love | S |
| The pageant of Autumn follows its course | R |
| And the blue sky of Autumn laughs above | S |
| - | |
| And the song and the country become as one | T |
| I see it as music I hear it as light | U |
| Prismatic and shimmering trembling to tone | V |
| The land of desire my soul's delight | U |
| And always it beats in my listening ears | W |
| With the gentle thud of a horse's stride | X |
| With the swift falling steps of many dogs | Y |
| Following following at my side | X |
| O Roads that journey to fairyland | Z |
| Radiant highways whose vistas gleam | A2 |
| Leading me on under crimson leaves | N |
| To the opaline gates of the Castles of Dream | A2 |
