Reflections Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDEFEGHIJKLM| When I looked into your eyes | A |
| I saw a garden | B |
| With peonies and tinkling pagodas | C |
| And round arched bridges | C |
| Over still lakes | D |
| A woman sat beside the water | E |
| In a rain blue silken garment | F |
| She reached through the water | E |
| To pluck the crimson peonies | G |
| Beneath the surface | H |
| But as she grasped the stems | I |
| They jarred and broke into white green ripples | J |
| And as she drew out her hand | K |
| The water drops dripping from it | L |
| Stained her rain blue dress like tears | M |
