Pickthorn Manor: 43 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEDCCE

Daily they met And gravely walked and talkedA
He read her no more verses and he stayedB
Only until their conversation balkedA
Of every natural channel fled dismayedB
Again the next day she would meet him tryingC
To give her tone some healthy sprightlinessD
But his uneager dignity soon chilledE
Her well prepared addressD
Thus Summer waned and in the mornings cryingC
Of wild geese startled Eunice and their flyingC
Whirred overhead for days and never stilledE
