Pickthorn Manor: 36 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEDCCE

He tried again to take her tried to twistA
Her arms about him Truly she had saidB
Nothing should ever part them In a mistA
She pushed him from her clasped her aching headB
In both her hands and rocked and sobbed aloudC
Oh Where is Everard What does this meanD
So lately come to leave me thus aloneE
But Gervase had not seenD
Sir Everard Then gently to her bowedC
And sickening spirit he told of her proudC
Surrender to him He could hear her moanE
