Pickthorn Manor: 33 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEDFCE

Herself about him like a flowering vineA
Drawing his lips to cling upon her ownB
A ray of sunlight pierced the leaves to shineA
Where her half opened bodice let be shownB
Her white throat fluttering to his soft caressC
Half gasping with her gladness And her pledgeD
She whispers melting with delight A twigE
Snaps in the hornbeam hedgeD
A cackling laugh tears through the quietnessF
Eunice starts up in terrible distressC
My God What's that Her staring eyes are bigE
