Pickthorn Manor: 31 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEDFGE

She gave a little cry and fell quite proneA
In the long grass and lay there very stillB
Gervase leapt from the tree at her soft moanA
And kneeling over her with clumsy skillB
Unloosed her bodice fanned her with his hatC
And his unguarded lips pronounced his heartD
Eunice my Dearest Girl where are you hurtE
His trembling fingers dartD
Over her limbs seeking some wound She stroveF
To answer opened wide her eyes aboveG
Her knelt Sir Everard with face alertE
