Pickthorn Manor: 30 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEFCCE

The wide sun winged June morning spread itselfA
Over the quiet garden And they packedB
Full twenty baskets with the fruit My shelfA
Of cordials will be stored with what it lackedB
In future none of us will drink strong aleC
But cherry brandy Vastly good I vowD
And Gervase gave the tree another shakeE
The cherries seemed to flowF
Out of the sky in cloudfuls like blown hailC
Swift Lady Eunice ran her farthingaleC
Unnoticed tangling in a fallen rakeE
