Pickthorn Manor: 24 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEDCCF

The morning brought her a more stoic mindA
And sunshine struck across the polished floorB
She wondered whether this day she should findA
Gervase a fishing and so listen moreB
Much more again to all he had to tellC
And he was there but waiting to beginD
Until she came They fished awhile then wentE
To the old seat withinD
The cherry's shade He pleased her very wellC
By his discourse But ever he must dwellC
Upon Sir Everard Each incidentF
