Pickthorn Manor: 16 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEDCCE

Under the orchard trees daffodils dancedA
And jostled turning sideways to the windB
A dropping cherry petal softly glancedA
Over her hair and slid away behindB
At the far end through twisted cherry treesC
The old house glowed geranium hued with bricksD
Bloomed in the sun like roses low and longE
Gabled and with quaint tricksD
Of chimneys carved and fretted Out of theseC
Grey smoke was shaken which the faint Spring breezeC
Tossed into nothing Then a thrush's songE
