Pickthorn Manor: 06 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEDCEE

She picked a stone up with a little poutA
Stones looked so ill in well kept flower bordersB
Where should she put it All the paths aboutA
Were strewn with fair red gravel by her ordersB
No stone could mar their sifted smoothness SoC
She hurried to the river At the edgeD
She stood a moment charmed by the swift blueE
Beyond the river sedgeD
She watched it curdling crinkling and the snowC
Purfled upon its wave tops Then HulloE
My Beauty gently or you'll wriggle throughE
