Pickthorn Manor: 04 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEECCE

Too lately wed to have forgot the wooingA
Too unaccustomed as a bride to feelB
Other than strange delight at her wife's doingA
Even at the thought a gentle blush would stealB
Over her face and then her lips would frameC
Some little word of loving and her eyesD
Would brim and spill their tears when all they sawE
Was the bright sun slantwiseE
Through burgeoning trees and all the morning's flameC
Burning and quivering round her With quick shameC
She shut her heart and bent before the lawE
