They float past our view | B |
We only watch their glad early start | C |

We scatter the leaves of our opening rose | F |
Their widening scope | D |
Their distant employ | E |
We never shall know And the stream as it flows | F |
Sweeps them away | G |
Each one is gone | H |

We alone stay | G |
While years hurry on | J |
The flower fared forth though its fragrance still stays | I |
