Wet black branches are barred and entwined | B |

Of water but steel with its cold hard sheen | E |

Faint fades the fire on the hearth its embers | F |
Scattering wide at a stronger gust | G |
Above the old weathercock groans but remembers | F |
Creaking to turn in its centuried rust | G |

Day sinks down and in darkness to morrow | H |
