Interlude Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGCHDIJIKILMNIO OPQR

When I have baked white cakesA
And grated green almonds to spread upon themB
When I have picked the green crowns from the strawberriesC
And piled them cone pointed in a blue and yellow platterD
When I have smoothed the seam of the linen I have been workingE
What thenF
To morrow it will be the sameG
Cakes and strawberriesC
And needles in and out of clothH
If the sun is beautiful on bricks and pewterD
How much more beautiful is the moonI
Slanting down the gauffered branches of a plum treeJ
The moonI
Wavering across a bed of tulipsK
The moonI
StillL
Upon your faceM
You shine BelovedN
You and the moonI
But which is the reflectionO
The clock is striking elevenO
I think when we have shut and barred the doorP
The night will be darkQ
OutsideR
