Eleven O'clock Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCADEFGAHIJKL

The front door was hard and heavyA
It shut behind me on the house of ghostsB
I flattened my feet on the pavementC
To feel it solid under meA
I ran my hand along the railingsD
And shook themE
And pressed their pointed barsF
Into my palmsG
The hurt of it reassured meA
And I did it again and againH
Until they were bruisedI
When I woke in the nightJ
I laughed to find them achingK
For only living flesh can sufferL
