This path which I long to explore | B |
And over it dashes a waterfall | C |
And the air is full of the roar | B |
And the thunderous voice of waters which sweep | D |
In a silver torrent over some steep | D |

It clears the path with a mighty bound | E |
And tumbles below and away | F |
And the trees and the bushes which grow in the rocks | G |
Are wet with its jewelled spray | F |
The air is misty and heavy with sound | E |
And small wet wildflowers star the ground | E |

Oh The dampness is very good to smell | H |
And the path is soft to tread | I |
And beyond the fall it winds up and on | J |
While little streamlets thread | I |
Their own meandering way down the hill | K |
Each singing its own little song until | K |

I forget that 't is only a pictured path | L |
And I hear the water and wind | M |
And look through the mist and strain my eyes | N |
To see what there is behind | M |
For it must lead to a happy land | O |
This little path by a waterfall spanned | O |
