To Lallie (outside The British Museum.) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCBDDBEEBBBFGGFHH IDDIJJKLLKMMNOONPPCQ QCRRISSI

UP those Museum steps you cameA
And straightway all my blood was flameA
O Lallie LallieB
The world I had been feeling lowC
In one short moment's space did growC
A happy valleyB
There was a friend my friend with youD
A meagre dame in peacock blueD
Apparelled quaintlyB
This poet heart went pit a patE
I bowed and smiled and raised my hatE
You nodded faintlyB
My heart was full as full could beB
You had not got a word for meB
Not one short greetingF
That nonchalant small nod you gaveG
The tyrant's motion to the slaveG
Sole mark'd our meetingF
Is it so long Do you forgetH
That first and last time that we metH
The time was summerI
The trees were green the sky was blueD
Our host presented me to youD
A tardy comerI
You look'd demure but when you spokeJ
You made a little funny jokeJ
Yet half patheticK
Your gown was grey I recollectL
I think you patronized the sectL
They call aelig stheticK
I brought you strawberries and creamM
And plied you long about a streamM
With duckweed ladenN
We solemnly discussed the heatO
I found you shy and very sweetO
A rosebud maidenN
Ah me to day You passed insideP
To where the marble gods abideP
Hermes ApolloC
Sweet Aphrodite Pan and whereQ
For aye reclined a headless fairQ
Beats all fairs hollowC
And I I went upon my wayR
Well rather sadder let us sayR
The world looked flatterI
I had been sad enough beforeS
A little less a little moreS
What does it matterI
