The Promise Of Sleep Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DBDB EFEF GHIH

i Put the sweet thoughts from out thy mindA
The dreams from out thy breastB
No joy for thee but thou shalt findA
Thy rest iC
-
-
All day I could not work for woeD
I could not work nor restB
The trouble drove me to and froD
Like a leaf on the storm's breastB
-
Night came and saw my sorrow ceaseE
Sleep in the chamber stoleF
Peace crept about my limbs and peaceE
Fell on my stormy soulF
-
And now I think of only thisG
How I again may wooH
The gentle sleep who promisesI
That death is gentle tooH
