Sonnet Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCCCBAD EFFEEF| Most wonderful and strange it seems that I | A |
| Who but a little time ago was tost | B |
| High on the waves of passion and of pain | C |
| With aching heat and wildly throbbing brain | C |
| Who peered into the darkness deeming vain | C |
| All things there found if but One thing were lost | B |
| Thus calm and still and silent here should lie | A |
| Watching and waiting waiting passively | D |
| - | |
| The dark has faded and before mine eyes | E |
| Have long grey flats expanded dim and bare | F |
| And through the changing guises all things wear | F |
| Inevitable Law I recognise | E |
| Yet in my heart a hint of feeling lies | E |
| Which half a hope and half a despair | F |
