How I Met My Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCD EFFGGGHHHII JKJLLMNHOPDDL

As I lay happy and gayA
The train of thoughts arrived from a bayA
Whilst the train was unloadedB
Grief self doubt and misery paid a surprise unpleasant visitC
No sooner did they blend to create a darkness by name DEPRESSION than it began to cloud my mental horizon and blackened it by its evil spellD
-
Alas Discovering that I was stoned blindE
Fearing that I would get lost in the wildF
Treading into the deadliest from mildF
Gazing at the cosmos Wishing I could get absorbed in the lap of mother nature for eternityG
And found myself drowning in a pool of self pityG
Crackled pieces of my identityG
Being tatteredH
And scatteredH
Pounded and grindedH
Wondering how a small rashI
Could lead to me being reduced to ashI
-
Being drenched in tearsJ
And penancing over the yearsK
The divinity having answered my prayersJ
And bestowed me with a partnerL
Who takes part in my folly and laughterL
Embracing my scars and fighting my warsM
Helped me wield a sword by his wordsN
Gave me his shoulder to restH
And planted kisses over my breastsO
Made my heart whisper He's the oneP
Lo and behold Found myself free from the long evil spellD
In the blossoming flowers of hope optimism and self love now I dwellD
Admist our laughter I live as his princess in our kingdom happily ever afterL
