| Gradually they r tightening the knot | F |
| Afraid they'll succeed in their murderous plot | F |
| They whisper and ask to support their thought | G |
| I Was strong and for years bravely fought | G |
| But now they control life's major part | E |

| Play pray sing I'm never at ease | I |
