| But they bounce back and suck life's nectar | D |
| It burns it aches and rips me apart | E |

| Gradually they r tightening the knot | F |
| Afraid they'll succeed in their murderous plot | F |
| They whisper and ask to support their thought | G |
| I Was strong and for years bravely fought | G |
| But now they control life's major part | E |

| They have consumed all my peace | H |
| Play pray sing I'm never at ease | I |
| I'd tightly closed all doors and windows | J |
