The Unpardonable Sin Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDEFFGGHHIIJJKK LLMMNOLLPPLLQQLL

I reckon that ye never knewA
That dandy slugger Tom CarewA
He had a touch as light an' freeB
As that of any honey beeB
But where it lit there wasn't muchC
To jestify another touchC
O what a Sunday school it wasD
To watch him puttin' up his pawsE
An' roominate upon their heftF
Particular his holy leftF
Tom was my style that's all I sayG
Some others may be equal gayG
What's come of him Dunno I'm sureH
He's dead which make his fate obscureH
I only started in to clearI
One vital p'int in his careerI
Which is to say afore he diedJ
He soiled his erming mighty snideJ
Ye see he took to politicsK
And learnt them statesmen fellers' tricksK
Pulled wires wore stovepipe hats used scentL
Just like he was the PresidentL
Went to the Legislator spokeM
Right out agin the British yokeM
But that was right He let his hairN
Grow long to qualify for MayorO
An' once or twice he poked his snootL
In Congress like a low galootL
It had to come no gent can hopeP
To wrastle God agin the ropeP
Tom went from bad to wuss Being deadL
I s'pose it oughtn't to be saidL
For sech inikities as flowQ
From politics ain't fit to knowQ
But if you think it's actin' whiteL
To tell it Thomas throwed a fightL
