Rhyme Scheme: ABBA CDDC ADDA EAAE FGHF ADDA IAAI JAAJ

Unbeautiful is the PiuteA
Howe'er bedecked with braveryB
His person is unsavoryB
Of soap he's destituteA
-
He multiplies upon the earthC
In spite of all admonishingD
All censure his astonishingD
And versatile unworthC
-
Upon the Reservation wideA
We give for his inhabitingD
He goes a jackass rabbitingD
To furnish his insideA
-
The hopper singing in the grassE
He seizes with avidityA
He loves its tart acidityA
And gobbles all that passE
-
He penetrates the spider's veilF
Industriously pillagesG
The toads' defenseless villagesH
And shadows home the snailF
-
He lightly runs to earth the quaintA
Red worm and deftly trowelingD
He makes it with his bowelingD
Familiarly acquaintA
-
He tracks the pine nut to its lairI
Surrounds it with celerityA
Regards it with asperityA
Smiles and it isn't thereI
-
I wish he'd open up a grinJ
Of adequate vivacityA
And carrying capacityA
To take his Agent inJ
