Montague Leverson Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFF

As some enormous violet that towersA
Colossal o'er the heads of lowlier flowersA
Its giant petals royally displayedB
And casting half the landscape into shadeB
Delivering its odors like the blowsC
Of some strong slugger at the public noseC
Pride of two Nations for a single StateD
Would scarce suffice to sprout a plant so greatD
So Leverson's humility outgrownE
The meaner virtues that he deigns to ownE
To the high skies its great corolla rearsF
O'ertopping all he has except his earsF
