Freedom Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CBCB DBDB EBEB F

Freedom as every schoolboy knowsA
Once shrieked as Kosciusko fellB
On every wind indeed that blowsA
I hear her yellB
-
She screams whenever monarchs meetC
And parliaments as wellB
To bind the chains about her feetC
And toll her knellB
-
And when the sovereign people castD
The votes they cannot spellB
Upon the pestilential blastD
Her clamors swellB
-
For all to whom the power's givenE
To sway or to compelB
Among themselves apportion HeavenE
And give her HellB
-
