Business Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEEFFGHIIJGKKAA LL MMM

Two villains of the highest rankA
Set out one night to rob a bankA
They found the building looked it o'erB
Each window noted tried each doorC
Scanned carefully the lidded holeD
For minstrels to cascade the coalD
In short examined five and twentyE
Good paths from poverty to plentyE
But all were sealed they saw full soonF
Against the minions of the moonF
'Enough ' said one 'I'm satisfied 'G
The other smiling fair and wideH
Said 'I'm as highly pleased as youI
No burglar ever can get throughI
Fate surely prospers our designJ
The booty all is yours and mine 'G
So full of hope the following dayK
To the exchange they took their wayK
And bought with manner free and frankA
Some stock of that devoted bankA
And they became inside the yearL
One President and one CashierL
-
Their crime I can no further traceM
The means of safety to embraceM
I overdrew and left the placeM
