Another Way Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF

I lay in silence dead A woman cameA
And laid a rose upon my breast and saidB
'May God be merciful ' She spoke my nameA
And added 'It is strange to think him deadB
-
'He loved me well enough but 't was his wayC
To speak it lightly ' Then beneath her breathD
'Besides' I knew what further she would sayC
But then a footfall broke my dream of deathD
-
To day the words are mine I lay the roseE
Upon her breast and speak her name and deemF
It strange indeed that she is dead God knowsE
I had more pleasure in the other dreamF
