A loaded fruit tree by the wayA
And reining in his horse exclaimedB
'The man is greatly to be blamedB
Who careless of good morals leavesC
Temptation in the way of thievesC
Now lest some villain pass this wayA
And by this fruit be led astrayA
To bag it I will kindly packD
It snugly in my saddle sack 'E
He did so then that Salt o' the EarthF
Rode on rejoicing in his worthF
