The flower in the glass peanut bottle formerly in theA
kitchen crooked to take a place in the lightB
the closet door opened because I used it before itC
kindly stayed open waiting for me its ownerD
-
I began to feel my misery in pallet on floor listeningE
to music my misery that's why I want to singE
The room closed down on me I expected the presenceF
of the Creator I saw my gray painted walls andG
ceiling they contained my room they containedH
me-
as the sky contained my gardenI
I opened my doorJ
-
The rambler vine climbed up the cottage postK
the leaves in the night still where the day had placedL
them the animal heads of the flowers where they hadM
arisenI
to think at the sunI
-
Can I bring back the words Will thought ofN
transcription haze my mental open eyeO
The kindly search for growth the gracious de-
sire to exist of the flowers my near ecstasy at existingE
among themP
The privilege to witness my existence you tooQ
must seek the sunI
-
My books piled up before me for my useR
waiting in space where I placed them theyS
haven't disappeared time's left its remnants and qualT
ities for me to use my words piled up my texts myO
manuscripts my lovesU
I had a moment of clarity saw the feeling inV
the heart of things walked out to the garden cryingE
Saw the red blossoms in the night light sun'sW
gone they had all grown in a moment and were waitX
ing stopped in time for the day sun to come and giveY
themP
Flowers which as in a dream at sunset I wateredZ
faithfully not knowing how much I loved themP
I am so lonely in my glory except they too outA2
there I looked up those red bush blossoms beckonI
ing and peering in the window waiting in the blind loveN
their leaves too have hope and are upturned top flatB2
to the sky to receive all creation open to receive theA
flat earth itselfC2
-
The music descends as does the tall bendingE
stalk of the heavy blssom because it has to to stayS
alive to continue to the last drop of joyD2
The world knows the love that's in its breast asE2
in the flower the suffering lonely worldF2
The Father is mercifulG2
-
The light socket is crudely attached to the ceilG2
ing after the house was built to receive a plug whichH2
sticks in it alright and serves my phonograph nowI2
-
The closet door is open for me where I left itC
since I left it open it has graciously stayed openI
The kitchen has no door the hole there willG2
admit me should I wish to enter the kitchenI
I remember when I first got laid H P graJ
ciously took my cherry I sat on the docks of ProvC2
incetown age joyful elevated in hope with theA
Father the door to the womb wasopen to admit me-
if I wished to enterJ
-
There are unused electricity plugs all over myO
house if I ever needed themP
The kitchen window is open to admit airJ
The telephone sad to relate sits on theA
floor I haven't had the money to get it connectedJ2
-
I want people to bow when they see me and sayS
he is gifted with poetry he has seen the presence ofC2
the CreatorJ
And the Creator gave me a shot of his presenceF
to gratify my wish so as not to cheat me of my yearningE
for himK2
