Cezanne's Ports Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD BEF GHI JI

In the foreground we see time and lifeA
swept in a raceB
toward the left hand side of the pictureC
where shore meets shoreD
-
But that meeting placeB
isn't representedE
it doesn't occur on the canvasF
-
For the other side of the bayG
is Heaven and EternityH
with a bleak white haze over its mountainsI
-
And the immense water of L'Estaque is a go betweenJ
for minute rowboatsI
