Ambition Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB BBCC DDBB EEFF

Kenton and Deborah Michael and RoseA
These are fine children as all the world knowsA
But into my arms in my dreams every nightB
Come Peter and Christopher Faith and DelightB
-
Kenton is tropical Rose is pure whiteB
Deborah shines like a star in the nightB
Michael's round eyes are as blue as the seaC
And nothing on earth could be dearer to meC
-
But where is the baby with Faith can compareD
What is the colour of Peterkin's hairD
Who can make Christopher clear to my sightB
Or show me the eyes of my daughter DelightB
-
When people inquire I always just stateE
I have four nice children and hope to have eightE
Though the first four are pretty and certain to pleaseF
Who knows but the rest may be nicer than theseF
