In Early Spring Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDAAAAEEFFGGAAHI AAJJAA KKAAAAAALLAA

O Spring I know thee Seek for sweet surpriseA
In the young children's eyesA
But I have learnt the years and know the yetB
Leaf folded violetC
Mine ear awake to silence can foretellD
The cuckoo's fitful bellD
I wander in a gray time that enclosesA
June and the wild hedge rosesA
A year's procession of the flowers doth passA
My feet along the grassA
And all you sweet birds silent yet I knowE
The notes that stir you soE
Your songs yet half devised in the dim dearF
Beginnings of the yearF
In these young days you meditate your partG
I have it all by heartG
I know the secrets of the seeds of flowersA
Hidden and warm with showersA
And how in kindling Spring the cuckoo shallH
Alter his intervalI
But not a flower or song I ponder isA
My own but memory'sA
I shall be silent in those days desiredJ
Before a world inspiredJ
O dear brown birds compose your old song phrasesA
Earth thy familiar daisiesA
-
The poet mused upon the dusky heightK
Between two stars towards nightK
His purpose in his heart I watched a spaceA
The meaning of his faceA
There was the secret fled from earth and skiesA
Hid in his gray young eyesA
My heart and all the Summer wait his choiceA
And wonder for his voiceA
Who shall foretell his songs and who aspireL
But to divine his lyreL
Sweet earth we know thy dimmest mysteriesA
But he is lord of hisA
